Plans, data and speed

What does unlimited data mean on your plans?

Plans, data and speed

There is no total allowance to run out. Data keeps working for every day of the plan, and you are never cut off and never asked for more money.

Each day includes an amount that runs at full speed. Once a day passes that amount, the connection carries on at the slower speed the plan states, until the next day begins and full speed returns.

Both numbers are printed on every plan before you pay: how much runs at full speed each day, and what speed it continues at. We do not hide either in a fair-use footnote.

How much data do I get at full speed each day?

It depends on the plan, and every plan says. That daily figure is the main thing that separates one unlimited plan from another at the same destination.

The shelf runs from a few hundred megabytes a day at the cheap end up to several gigabytes a day in Pro Store. Pick the one that matches how you actually use your phone.

The amount resets at the start of each new day of the plan. Nothing rolls over.

What happens after my daily full-speed data is used?

The connection keeps working, at the reduced speed printed on that plan, for the rest of that day. Nothing stops and nothing is charged.

At the start of the next day of the plan, full speed comes back on its own. You do nothing.

The reduced speed is enough for messaging, maps and browsing. Video at that point depends on the plan: the faster continued speeds handle it, the slower ones will struggle.

What is the difference between Basic and Enhanced Speed?

Both are unlimited data. They differ in how much runs at full speed each day, and in the speed the connection continues at once that daily amount is used.

Basic suits everyday browsing, messaging, maps and booking rides. Enhanced Speed gives a larger daily full-speed amount and a faster continued speed, which leaves more room for social feeds and video.

Every plan prints both of its own numbers before you pay. Pro Store carries larger daily amounts again, for people who want more.

Can I be cut off for using too much data?

Not for ordinary use. An unlimited plan slows after the daily amount rather than stopping, and there is no total cap to hit.

What can end a plan is using it in a way it is not for: reselling or sharing it, running machine-to-machine traffic, or using it for something illegal. The networks we buy from require that, and it is in the Acceptable Use rules.

Plans are for your own personal use on one phone.
